The smell of freshly baked gingerbread fills the air and Christmas music plays softly in the background. You watch the snowflakes through the window as they gather on the ground and turn into a glittering blanket of snow. The fire crackles in the fireplace, reminding you of one of your most beautiful Christmas moments. Dance and light tell of past celebrations, of quiet moments and passionate expression.
The MDance Company and its guests bring Advent to life with jazz dance and aim to get you in the mood for the festive season with choreographies set to well-known and modern pieces of music. May this night touch and enchant us and bring the magic of the holidays to life through movement. Look forward to a fun-tastic and varied dance performance.

Meet the Cast
Melanie Day

Melanie's journey into the world of dance began at a young age, inspired and taught by jazz dance icons such as Lynn Simonson, Katiti King, Dollie Henry, Jacki Mitchell and Jason Pennycooke. Her training took her across several continents, including to lecturers at the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. Her experiences as a dancer and dance captain with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines broadened her horizons and brought her into contact with a wide variety of cultures and dance styles.
Throughout her career, Melanie has demonstrated her choreographic talent in countless productions, musicals, regional theatre performances and community projects, and has been involved in various musical productions. Other engagements include company member of “BOP - Body of People”, a jazz dance theatre company in London under the direction of Dollie Henry MBE, judge at prestigious dance competitions and various TV engagements, including SKY TV/ARD series hit “BABYLON BERLIN”.
Since returning to Germany in 2014, Melanie has made Bamberg her home, where she continues to inspire as a dancer, choreographer and teacher. With MDance Creative, she passes on her passion for jazz dance and musical theatre, leading courses and workshops throughout Germany and Europe. Since 2019, she has been the artistic director of the MDance Company, with which she has already produced five successful dance spectacles.
Thomas Rohe

Thomas Rohe is a dancer, yoga teacher and sports scientist living in Berlin. At the age of four, he discovered his passion for movement and dance – especially jazz, modern and contemporary. After training as a state-certified stage dancer, Rohe worked in many national and international productions, including for performance artist Marina Abramovic in Denmark and Germany. He supplemented his knowledge by training as a yoga teacher and studying sports science. He can currently be seen in various productions at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin.
Dominic Braunersreuther

Dominic Braunersreuther brings stories to life – as a dancer, choreographer
and inspiring teacher. Born in Nabburg and raised in Regensburg, Dominic now lives in Nuremberg. At the age of 16, he discovered his passion for
dance during a school project – a spark that soon led him to international projects with the city of Aberdeen (Scotland) and led to his decision to begin professional dance training.
After receiving a scholarship to a private school in Regensburg and his first guest engagement at the Stadttheater (‘Die Csárdásfürstin’), he transferred to the Ballettförderzentrum Nürnberg. There, in 2016, he completed his versatile training in modern dance, jazz, ballet (Vaganova technique), contemporary, Limon technique, partnering and improvisation with a diploma as a stage dancer and dance teacher. Since then, he has appeared at the Nuremberg State Theatre in productions such as My Fair Lady, The Huguenots, The Magic Flute, Die Fledermaus and Zum weißen Rössl. He
made his debut as a choreographer at the Regensburg Dance Days with the audience favourite
Critical Zone and has since worked on projects in Regensburg, Nuremberg, Ansbach and
Ingolstadt – including for a modelling agency. Since 2021, he has been a member of the MDance
Company Bamberg (Jazzy Jingle Bells, Die 4 Elemente).
In addition to his stage work, Dominic has been teaching in Ingolstadt since 2015, and later also in
Schwabach and Ansbach.
Chiara Wieshofer

Chiara discovered her love of dancing at an early age. She won
many titles in competitions in the categories of musical theatre and contemporary dance, including several world championship titles. After several years of competitive dancing, she decided to go abroad to complete her dance training. Among other places, she trained at the world-famous
Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles. She graduated in jazz, contemporary
and hip hop. Since graduating, she has been living in Vienna, Austria, where she is a dancer with the Move2Rise Company, a dance teacher and also a student of computer science.
Judith Schroer

Judith grew up in Recklinghausen (North Rhine-Westphalia), where she completed vocational training as a movement educator. In 2014, she came to the Ballet Promotion Centre in Nuremberg to train professionally as a stage dancer. She then completed her studies in social work in 2020.
Judith currently works as a social education worker and freelance dancer for various agencies throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Since 2019, she has been an active member of the MDance Company under the direction of Melanie Day and Dance Captain.
Charlotte Chlistalla

Charlotte is 23 years old and was born in Bamberg. She completed her training at the Iwanson School of Contemporary Dance in Munich from 2019 to 2022. Since then, she has been active as a versatile dancer and choreographer on various stages. Engagements have taken her to the IAA for Mercedes and the beauty label Mary Kay, among others, and she has also performed at the Long Night of Museums in Munich.
As a member of the Jazz Dance Company MDance Company, Charlotte has appeared in productions such as Jazzy Jingle Bells (2022) and Die 4 Elemente (The 4 Elements) (2023). She also appeared in the operetta Die Csárdásfürstin in Schönebeck and will be performing in the operetta Wiener Blut in the summer of 2026.
