Welcome to MDance Creative, where I invite you to join me in a vibrant celebration of music through the art of dance. From the young age of 3, dance has held a central role in my life, and at 14, I directed my very first dance troupe. For five remarkable years, my sister and I, along with a talented group of four boys, graced local shows and fairs, igniting a passion that has burned brightly within me for the past 25 years.
Today, I am overjoyed to introduce MDance Creative, a jazz collective offering a range of performance and training experiences for aspiring dancers and seasoned professionals alike, all encapsulating the spirit of "a celebration of music."
Music serves as my muse, inspiring me to dance with its rhythmic heartbeat, allowing my body to become a vessel for expressing its profound emotions. To me, harmony represents the exquisite unity of individual voices, forging an enchanting connection between music and movement.
With a blend of my rich heritage, upbringing, and extensive travels, my movement language embraces the 21st-century Jazz Dance Art form, infused with diverse international influences. Born in Namibia, Africa, I feel the pulse of my roots coursing through my veins, and I am resolute in my mission to propel Jazz Dance back into the limelight, reclaiming its rightful place in contemporary theatres and captivating audiences with its unparalleled beauty.
Beyond mere entertainment, my vision extends to reigniting the sheer joy of Jazz Dance within theatres, establishing a professional platform that has been conspicuously absent in Germany. While classical, modern, and physical theater experiences abound, Jazz Dance deserves its distinct spotlight. I aspire to fill this void by establishing the first-ever professional Jazz Dance Company in Germany, where the brilliance of this art form can shine brightly.

The love for Jazz Dance blossomed rapidly and deeply, shaping her style and technique through guidance from esteemed Jazz Dance artists like Lynn Simonson and Katiti King (NYC), Dollie Henry, Jacki Mitchell, and Jason Pennycooke (London), as well as Dick O’Swanborn, Chesse Rijst, Martin Mathias, and artists from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, among many others, during extensive international training.
She spent numerous years as a Dancer/Dance Captain on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, traveling the world, which enriched her with diverse market insights and dance styles. During breaks from contracts, she engaged in various projects across the UK and Europe. Her choreographic talents extended to the Italian Tour of BEATLES-THE MUSICAL for Palketto Stage/Milan, as well as FLASHDANCE's 2016 tour, and several other Musicals, including Aida, Chicago, Grimm, Fame, Mary Poppins, Oliver, West Side Story, Anatevka, and Grease, among others.
An integral member of ‘BOP – Body of People,’ Dollie Henry's Jazz Dance Theatre Company in London, she choreographed for regional Theatre shows, Charity events, and Community projects throughout Europe. Additionally, she served as a judge at the Dubai International Dance Competition and Dance World Cup Spain. She performed in the cast of SPAMALOT at ETA Hofmann Theater/Bamberg, and since 2017, she has been an ensemble member of Landesbühne Oberfranken, participating in various Musical Productions. Her talents also extended to appearances in numerous TV and Film projects, recently featuring as a dancer in the successful SKY TV Production of BABYLON BERLIN.
In 2014, she returned to Germany, where she now resides in Bamberg with her husband Paul, fulfilling roles as a Dancer, Choreographer, and Educator for Jazz Dance and Musical Theatre. Melanie conducts regular classes and workshops for amateurs and professionals across Germany and Europe.
Her heart finds its true home on and around the stage, as she first stepped onto it at the tender age of 5, a love affair that has endured through the years.
In 2017, she achieved her childhood dream, becoming the Director and Choreographer of her own Dance Company, MDance Company, which now falls under the performance collective, MDance Creative.
In 2019, she produced her first Show spectacle, TAN-GO NIGHTS, in Bamberg. Subsequent productions included TANZ UNLOCKED! (2020), Gotta Dance (2021), and Jazzy Jingle Bells (2021/2022). MDance Company recently accomplished its most ambitious Production to date - Die 4 Elemente at the Konzerthalle Bamberg.
