Meet Atif the Great – dancer, choreographer, and vibrant force of nature hailing from Zanzibar, where rhythm and movement are part of daily life. For Atif, dance is more than performance – it's joy, identity, expression, and freedom.
From childhood, Atif’s life has been steeped in movement. Dance is not something he learned, but something that lives in his bones. Rooted in the traditions and spirit of African dance styles, Atif brings authenticity, power, and connection into every workshop.
Now based in Denmark, Atif shares his passion for Afro Fusion and Amapiano dance – styles that merge cultural rhythm with contemporary energy. Afro Fusion draws from a wide spectrum of African styles, while Amapiano, originating from South Africa, pulses with bass-heavy beats and expressive footwork.
Atif’s workshops are more than just technique – they are a celebration. Expect to be uplifted, inspired, and energised. With each class, he invites dancers to reconnect with their bodies and move with freedom, joy, and confidence.
At JazzDayz 2025, Atif will lead dancers through two powerful sessions of Afro Fusion and Amapiano. Come with an open heart and leave with full spirit.
