Sonbol Eghtessadi has her roots in Persia and grew up in Berlin. At the age of 16, she found the opportunity to live out her passion for hip hop dance on the streets of Berlin, literally STREET dance. Just one year later, she was teaching children's and youth groups at various dance schools in Berlin. In the same year, she was hired as a background dancer at KiKa, went on tour with KiKa throughout Germany in 2005 and took first place in the intermediate category at the Berlin Street Dance Championships. In 2006, she became East German champion (Lausitz Cup), but that wasn't enough for her, so after graduating from high school, she moved to Nuremberg and trained as a professional stage dancer and dance teacher at the Ballet Promotion Centre, specialising in hip hop. Today, she works as a freelance lecturer at various dance schools and as a dancer, model and choreographer for music videos, competitions and much more, and is so happy to have turned her hobby into her profession.
